So while watching the news yesterday, the anchor person was handed a notice. He proceeded to ask all viewers, on behalf of 911 operators, to only call 911 for emergency cases; not to find out when your neighborhood will be plowed, how to work your furnace, and when your power will be turned back on.

Really people? Good thing is, those are the few cases in which natural selection will hopefully weed the stupid out of the gene pool for the rest of us.

so yesterday at mt. hood was amazing. AMAZING!

went prolly 4 hours at timberline and then headed down for some more runs at skibowl on the way home. i have decided that my favorite thing about snowboarding, other than the sport itself, is all the hot as fuck winter-sport enthusiasts that just litter the mountain. i must admit though, with the weather being the way it has been, i havent had the time or opportunity to work out as much as i need to, so i am in a fair amount of muscle pain.

my car is still in erins parking lot, and now trimet cancelled service to the 75 where i live due to road blackages. which means? yeah, im fucing snowed in at my house with my d-bag roommates. (it's cool: i can say that. i was awaken at 2am last night to the sound of them throwing shit at my window)

hot damn! i really just want to get out of here and hang out with people. this is fucking bullshit! no joe, i will end up like jack nicholson in the shining if this global warming doesnt let up just until i can get my car back.

as soon as its humanly possible, i am going to meet with an advisor at the SBA and get me a graduation plan and look into some MBA programs in LA.

new goal: be out of the cold and in the sun in less than 7 months.

Being snowed in has it's perks

  • Dec. 21st, 2008 at 9:36 AM

So we got over 7 inches of snow last night followed by freezing rain this morning.

My car is worthless at this point, as it is snowed in at erin's. So Dole and his truck of testosterone are taking Noah and I up to Mt. Hood to rape the shit out of the 40 new inches of snow since Monday.

On a side note, I'm getting a little fucking sick of urban blizzards

oh lj. deep down, i have missed you.

life seems to be progressing rather fluidly as of recent. fall term is over, and i have 4 weeks of work and relaxing before jumping back into school. i plan to use the time to catch up with friends that i haven't seen in days and going snowboarding. aside from taking time for myself, i've been talking with dole, and he is going to try to help get me involved with some networking opportunities with Coates Kokes. so that means that i am going to be creating my resume and see if i can't take these few weeks and throw together a portfolio of some sort.

the day job is actually going well too. as unexciting as that job is, i'm damn good at it. and, with the vast increase in workload, i'm gettin' paid. i'm months ahead on my car payment, my credit card balances have never been lower, and i still have money left over that i've been saving. and with whistler '09 coming up in a month, it'll be really help to have some extra cash.

so last weekend, i went down to l.a. to visit jeff and get out of the city. truth be told, it was so much fun. i keep thinking about how huge that city is, and it just turns me on. i love the culture and the fact that it is so much more diverse than portland, which, let's face it, is mostly upper-middle class white professionals. it's always been the plan that, once i graduate, i was going to go to either s.f. or l.a. for my career, but now i know that its what i want.

oh, and not to mention, l.a. very rarely has to deal with the fact that it's going to be 20 FUCKING degrees this weekend.

wow. i'm going to have to restock on bailey's and scoop up some brandy on the way home tomorrow.
